I get so many questions from photographers and models about my shots, that I thought I would handle them in a blog.
Let's start with a recent photo shoot - the Amazing Ali Love Here is a high-key shot showing her in all her fearless glory in a high-key shot:
This is a pretty simple lighting setup, with two soft lights on either side, and a bare strobe on the boom above and behind her to blow out the white seamless background. In post, I brighten any areas in frame behind her that are not pure white.
In case you've not upgraded yet, Photoshop CS5 is totally worth it! Just the ability to properly mask fine hair, and then create a new layer with this mask makes my editing much faster.
